Kel’s Tips – Caring for Your Faux Flowers

 Cleaning & Freshening

(Because they’re low-maintenance… not no-maintenance)

  • A hairdryer on a cool setting is your best friend
→ Gently blows away dust without damaging petals or foliage

  • For stubborn dust, use a soft makeup brush or paintbrush

  • Avoid wet cloths unless the flowers are fully plastic / waterproof

Little and often is better than a big clean once a year

 Outdoor Use & Weather Care

  • If your flowers live outdoors, give them a light spray of waterproofing or UV-protectant spray
→ Helps reduce fading and weather wear

  • Re-spray every few months, especially after heavy rain or strong sun

  • During storms or high winds, bring wreaths or baskets inside if you can

They’re hardy — but not indestructible

 Sunlight & Colour Care

  • Prolonged direct sunlight will fade colours over time

  • If possible, rotate wreaths or displays occasionally

  • Pale florals last longest in sunny spots; bold colours prefer shade

Think of them like fabric — sunlight always wins eventually

 Storage Tips (Seasonal Swaps)

  • Store unused pieces in a cool, dry place

  • Use cardboard boxes or breathable storage bags

  • Avoid squashing — let blooms keep their shape

  • Add a little tissue paper to protect delicate petals

Future you will be very grateful

 Shaping & Adjusting

  • Faux flowers are flexible — gently bend and fluff stems back into shape

  • Don’t be afraid to tweak positioning after delivery

  • If something gets knocked, it’s usually fixable with a little patience

Nothing is “ruined” — it’s all adjustable

 Re-Bloom, Don’t Bin

  • Finished with a wreath or display?
    Re-use the flowers for:
  • Smaller arrangements

    • Table décor

    • Gift wrapping

    • Seasonal refreshes

  • Many pieces are designed with repurposing in mind

One purchase. Many blooms.

 Final Kel Truth

Your flowers are made to be enjoyed — not stressed over.

They’re about calm, creativity, and colour, not perfection.

If in doubt:

  • fluff it

  • move it

  • re-bloom it
